Be Bold Not Hesitant

Hesitant: averse, disinclined, loath, and reluctant. While all these words mean "lacking the will or desire to do something indicated," hesitant implies a holding back especially through fear or uncertainty.

Are you hesitant in your faith today? Is your relationship with God suffering because you can’t / won’t take that small step forward? Are you afraid of what might happen? Is God calling your name but you are too busy hiding from Him or blatantly ignoring Him? Are you too busy for God because of those you surround yourself with?

If this is you, I would urge you to stop being indecisive, and develop a confidence in the one who knows you deeply and holds creation in His hands, God. You are meant for so much more than you might realise, but, you must first take steps to respond to, and head in the direction that God is calling you towards in order to realise what the end goal is.

Philippians 3:13-14

13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 All of us who are mature [pursuing spiritual perfection] should have this attitude. And if in any respect you have a different attitude, that too God will make clear to you. 16 Only let us stay true to what we have already attained.

As we can see above, God wants us to keep pressing forward towards the destination / goal. To make it there we need Him. Hesitating in our faith is not only damaging or unhealthy, but it could also be an indication of the level of trust we have in God.

We are not perfect, but we must continually seek Him, trust Him, and keep moving forward with confidence!
