Serve the Lord

As for me and my house, (this might refer to your friends, neighbours, community, and so on) we want to serve you.

Lord, we want to recognise your presence rather than constantly asking for it when we know very well that you are already here - and help us not let go of it when we finally connect with it.

Lord, we want to go on our knees in recognition of your Majesty and Holiness. You are the only true and living God that is worthy.

Lord, we know we are weak and have become frail in our determination, but, we want to let go of this temporary state, for we know yours is where we want to be.

Lord, help me, my house, friends, neighbours, community, and even enemies, recognise you as the only Lord and Saviour; in whom we can all find streams of true healing water, that quenches our thirst, and strengthens us to keep moving forward in you.

Lord, please help us recognise that you have removed the veil off our faces, removed blindness from our eyes, and unblocked our ears, so we can move forward in alertness, and with confidence to do your will.

Lord, thank you for the freedom we have received (I have received personally) to be as you would want us to be.

Lord, we pray for unity in our wider house of (your people), recognising that together, and with confidence, we can cross the line to your side, and trust you more without fear or doubt.

We want to see your name lifted up above all else.

As for me and my house, (friends, neighbours, and community) we want to serve you.

Amen.

Joshua 24:14-15

‘Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the River Euphrates and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.’
